This weekend, we will cover a couple of events in the Carolinas. Saturday we will be at Farmington Dragwsy to kick off the Madd Dawg 4.50 series. After a year-long layoff of this class due to delayed track renovations, all of the competition is eager to go. Let’s see how 2022 Champion #ChevyFloyd does defending his title. For all important information regarding the event check out the Farmington Dragway website and Facebook pages.
Sunday we will make another visit to Roxboro Motorsports Park Unfortunately we didn’t get to this great facility in 2023 The new ownership at Roxboro is committed to bringing the facility back to where it was in their hay days!! I always try to help and support places that have this type of goal The 4.70 Outlaws will be the featured group on Easter Sunday.
I spent many Easter Sundays as a young kid at #EastsideDragway in Waynesboro, Virginia, watching Funny Cars and racing SuperPro with the late Aubrey Elliott in the Ms Piggy 63 Corvette. What fantastic young life memories from there Unfortunately I have not gotten to do an event there as NC ProModer. I don’t know if my rig has what it takes to climb the mountain to get there. Back in the day, there was always a tow vehicle race up Afton Mountain. To a few that win was better than the DragStrip trophy.
