As 2020 winds down it’s time to start thinking about 2021. 2020 ended so much better than it started, after one or two events the word Covid19 changed the world, as we were just getting the rust knocked off on how to showcase an event.
As of this writing, we attended 40 events with the possibility of one or two more. I know I spent countless nights on the road, some with my wonderful wife some without. Covid 19 really affected me personally losing 12 weeks of pay, due to lack of work. Yes, there were a few weeks of good unemployment insurance, but most was the crappy amount paid to NC residents. Thank goodness NC ProModer was finally able to support itself.
NC ProModer, and NC ProModer Photography made big strides in our image quality this year with the purchase of a great sports-related camera body. We also made the investment in a printer and frames to offer onsite photo sales at select events. We will be working to refine this process in the offseason.
I’m not sure what 2021 will hold, but I am fortunate enough to have many great race tracks in a two or three-hour drive from my home. With all of the restrictions placed on me at events with pay per view Live Streaming. I’ll be trying to stay away from these events as much as possible. I do hope to attend a few NHRA events in 2021 to reconnect with all of my Pro Mod friends at that level.
I’d like to thank all of my coverage partners for 2020, it was a pretty impressive list that I’m very proud of especially with all of the covid issues.

We put up thousands of images and did hundreds of videos in 2020 with the support of everyone listed above. I was fortunate that I only had to spend one night in a hotel. Thanks to all of the facilities that allowed us to stay in our RV, this is a tremendous cost-saving as well as offering us a place to work away from others. I logged almost 14,000 miles mostly towing my camper averaging 9.5 miles a gallon. That’s gonna be a big fuel bill LOL. Let not forget all of the generator gas that was burned trying to stay cool when it was 100 degrees.
With all of the above, it’s time to start getting secure for 2021. I’ll be sending out proposals after Thanksgiving to a list of potential partners and all of my previous partners. If anyone wants to get on the #makingdragracinggreater team next year let me know and I’ll get you a flyer. We do have PayPal if anyone wants to help out ncpromoder@gmail on PayPal.
Stay tuned we exceed all of our expectations in 2020 reaching well over one million people!!
